DLC energy efficiency certification

The full name of DLC is "The Design Lights Consortium". The Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnership (Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships, NEEP) a voluntary energy efficiency certification program launched the DLC certification catalog is used throughout the United States has not yet been "Energy Star (ENERGYSTAR)" to promote the high performance standard LED lamp with cover.

At present, the technical requirements of the latest version of DLC table is implemented in September 1, 2016 version of the V4.0 lighting products involved mainly in outdoor commercial and industrial buildings with LED lamps, such as outdoor wall lamp, garage lamp, mining lamps, outdoor LED lamps and LED lamps and other lighting products. The main performance requirements of the product: total luminous flux, luminous flux, luminous efficiency, color temperature, color rendering index. DLC certification requirements must be approved by the NVLAP third party laboratory testing and reporting.

4) FTC energy efficiency label

According to the Federal Trade Commission Act FTC requirements, LED light entering the U.S. market need to paste the energy in the box and the lamp body on the label, the disclosure of the annual power consumption of the product to the public, life information, energy efficiency labeling FTC with the Lighting Facts Label label similar, but the FTC energy efficiency label is mandatory request. See FTCenergyguidelabel requirements: 16CFR305.

5 California energy efficiency requirements

In order to improve the efficiency of the electric products, California Energy Commission (California Energy Commission) in December 30, 2005, according to the implementation of the electrical energy efficiency regulations (Appliance Efficiency Regulation). A total of more than and 20 categories of products into the United States must comply with the California energy efficiency and efficiency of the regulatory requirements. At present, the latest requirements are promulgated in October 2015 CEC regulations. In light of the lighting products, the energy efficiency of portable LED lamps must meet the CEC energy efficiency requirements in order to enter the California area sales, and the test must be completed in the laboratory approved by CEC.

6) Canadian energy efficiency test requirements

For lighting products, the current mandatory energy efficiency requirements of the Canadian NRCan has been controlled by the general fluorescent lamp, general incandescent reflector lamp, general purpose lamp products, but the LED light source lighting products are not mandatory energy efficiency requirements.

C.FCC / ICES test requirements

FCC is the United States federal law on radio harassment telecommunications products compulsory certification (EMI) feature limits, but does not include EMS (radio interference) test; electromagnetic FCC certification testing of LED lamps and EU CE compatible EMC certification test is quite different.

FCC authentication mode is divided into Verification (self certification) and Declarationof Conformity (announcement that the) and Certification (certification) three kinds of mode, the authentication mode, depending on the type of products, such as FCC testing LED panel lamp product standard for FCC 47 CFR part 15B, authentication type: Verification. Note that LED lamp FCC certification is divided into Class A (LED light industrial and commercial environments) and Class B (LED lamp residents in the environment) two class, two class test limit is not the same, radio disturbance in CE certification test limits only one limit similar to FCC Class B, more than a 9K 30MHz electromagnetic radiation test.

Canada of electrical products have developed a mandatory electromagnetic compatibility requirements, referred to as ICES, is the Ministry of Industry Canada (Industry Canada) a mandatory certification, LED lamp products standard is ICES 005, the requirement is consistent with FCCpart15B, but the radiation test is extended to 1000MHz. From December 1, 2016 onwards, the formal implementation of ICES005Issue4, Canada will no longer accept ICES005.
